We provide surface water and groundwater management and protection. We operate and maintain water works. We monitor the condition of watercourses, prepare and ensure their treatment. We create the conditions to enable authorised water management related to watercourses.

We operate an information centre. With the help of interactive screens, we try to provide visitors with information about water management, the water management system of the Oder basin and other attractions of the water world.

We focus on sustainable forest management in state-owned forests, activities of professional forest managers, forest protection services, management of small watercourses, hunting and fishing, forestry education. We publish professional journals and books.

We offer watercourse management, surface and groundwater surveys and assessments. Notify the relevant water authority of serious defects. We monitor the condition of watercourse beds and riparian land. Maintain the navigability of transport important waterways in use.

We are the largest organizational unit of all the units of the state enterprise Forests of the Czech Republic. According to the territorial-administrative division of the Czech Republic, the managed small watercourses are located in the Prague, South Bohemia, part of Pilsen, Central Bohemia and Vysočina regions.
