The main purpose of the establishment is to provide residential education to a minor, a person under 19 years of age. To provide direct provision and substitute educational care to a minor, a person under 19 years of age, on the basis of a court decision on institutional education or a provisional order, in the interests of healthy development, proper upbringing and education.

Children's Home and School is an educational establishment providing therapeutic and counselling care to pupils who have been ordered to be institutionalized. It includes a nurse's office, a psychologist, a dining room, a kitchen and a ceramics workshop.

Children between the ages of 3 and 18 are placed in a children's home, or they stay in the home until they graduate. The capacity of the children's home is 24 children in three family groups. It is open all year round with full day care, providing full direct provision for the children. The children are placed in the institution by the competent court.
