The Cabinet is a workplace for theoreticians who have fallen under the spell of design, film, photography, architecture, low and high expressions of visual culture and art. As teachers, they teach courses in theoretical foundations and introduce students to visual studies.

The staff of the institute provide teaching in general, inorganic, organic and technical chemistry for all undergraduate courses at the Faculty of Technology. Teaching at the Master's level is provided in the field of Chemistry of Food and Bioactive Substances.

The main activity of the institute is the education of students in bachelor's degree programs focused on nursing, midwifery and health and social care. Students undertake internships in various clinical settings.

The department develops and professionally guarantees studies in bachelor and master courses focused on regional development and public administration, while closely cooperating with other faculty departments involved in teaching in these fields.

The Institute provides instruction in technical subjects for the study of Safety Technology. It participates in the teaching of electrical engineering subjects in bachelor and master studies of the Automation and Control Engineering study programme within the Chemical and Process Engineering study programme.

The institute implements the teaching of subjects profiling students in the Bachelor's degree program Process Engineering, majoring in Risk Control in full-time and combined form of study. Graduates of crisis management should be able to independently deal with emergencies and crisis situations caused by natural elements.
