The Institute offers training in the processing and application of polymer-based materials and composites with emphasis on discontinuous technologies. The research activities cover a broad area of polymer materials processing and are closely related to teaching activities.

Our goal is to expand the cooperation between the university environment and industry. The aim is to create a synergistic centre for companies that will benefit from the experience of academics in information and communication technologies.

The Department of Economics is particularly known for teaching Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. Graduating in Economic Theory will provide you with the necessary general framework for further study of professional economic disciplines such as Business Economics or Management.

The Institute is based on educational and scientific research work in the field of interdisciplinary environmental, natural, human and socio-economic sciences integrated into the structures of domestic as well as international activities.

The institute guarantees teaching in the study programme Philology in the accredited fields of study English for Management Practice and German for Management Practice. In addition to the Czech version, the English Language for Management Practice programme is also offered in a fully English version.

The Cabinet is a workplace for theoreticians who have fallen under the spell of design, film, photography, architecture, low and high expressions of visual culture and art. As teachers, they teach courses in theoretical foundations and introduce students to visual studies.
