The Institute is the guarantor of the Bachelor's degree programme (full-time and combined form) in Technology of production of fats, cosmetics and detergents and the Master's degree programme (full-time form) in Technology of fats, detergents and cosmetics.

The institute provides teaching in the field of polymer materials and technology. Graduates are mainly employed as production technologists, researchers in development, testing and certification, but also as sales representatives with expertise in the applications they sell.

The Institute provides teaching in the field of Environmental Engineering in the study programme - Chemistry and Technology of Materials. Teaching includes knowledge of the branches of chemistry, chemical technology and engineering, environmental engineering, ecology and management.

The Institute provides teaching of theoretical subjects in all fields of study of the Engineering Informatics degree programmes of both degrees (B.Sc., M.Sc.) and in the Security Technologies, Systems and Management degree programme.

Ústav zajišťuje výuku zaměřenou na podniky v průmyslu, obchodu a ve službách a na malé a střední podnikání. Ve vědeckovýzkumné činnosti se zaměřuje na otázky uplatnění nástrojů manažerského účetnictví a controllingu s cílem zvyšování výkonnosti podniků, problematiku řízení nákladů ve zdravotnictví.
