The department of practice methodically and organizationally provides professional practice of students. The teachers of the Department of Education, the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies and the Department of Practice are responsible for the pedagogical supervision of the practice. Through the internship in the organization, students acquire practical skills and experience.

We offer education in bachelor's degree in aesthetics. Focuses on basic aesthetic and art theories, art history, literature, architecture, cultural theory, and media practice. Organizing lectures and seminars.

Offer education in Romance philology specializing in French, Spanish and Italian. The research activity is focused on the reception of Romance literatures in the Czech lands and on the linguistics of Romance languages.

We offer education in bachelor and postgraduate studies in Bohemia and doctoral studies in the history of modern Czech literature. Scholarly activity is mainly focused on the history of Czech literature of the 19th and 20th centuries and the dynamics of contemporary Czech.

We offer undergraduate and postgraduate studies in archaeology. We focus on the areas of medieval, early modern and environmental archaeology, and research into the past of the South Bohemian region in a European context.

We offer education in the bachelor's degree in history, the postgraduate degree in history and the doctoral degree in Czech history. The main focus of our scientific activity is on the history of the early modern period and modern history.

We offer education in the Bachelor's and post-graduate studies in archives. We focus on acquiring the practical skills needed in processing archival material of modern and modern provenance.

The department provides teaching of subjects essential for the preparation of qualified sports professionals in the fields of history, philosophy, sociology and psychology of sport.

Teaching in the areas of social and public medicine and health care law. Study specializes in health law and professional legislation, social medicine and public health or administrative aspects. Also deals with insurance, statistics or legal issues in nursing.

Teaching in physiology with a focus on the electrophysiology of the heart cell, the physiology of blood circulation regulation in humans and the neurophysiology of behaviour. We also specialise in general and dental medicine, physiotherapy, biomedical technology, optometry or nutritional therapy.

Teaching in the field of psychology and psychosomatics. Study specialises in psychotherapeutic techniques in midwifery, psychotherapy and applied psychology, sociology, health communication or psychosomatics in dentistry.

Teaching in the field of medical ethics pays attention to the theoretical examination of the basic ethical problems of contemporary medicine. The study focuses on ethical aspects in geriatrics, the work of the nutritional therapist, dentistry or intensive care.

Teaching pharmacology with a focus on medical and clinical pharmacology, behavioural pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenetics and medicinal plants.
