Offering historical and regional literature. We specialize in the fields of social sciences, mainly history, ethnography, archaeology, nature, history and art history of the Wallachia region or documents necessary for the professional work of the museum staff and the professional public.

The collection contains, for the most part, religious literature of Catholic and Protestant provenance published before 1860. Another group consists of manuscripts, mainly chronicles and various manuscript documents. Periodicals and manuscript materials are also part of the collection.

We operate a professional library. The library contains 14000 library units. The book collection includes mainly specialist literature from the social and natural sciences of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, as well as some specialist journals and regional literature.

We operate a library with a focus on specialist literature in the sciences. We keep records of more than 25,000 printed documents.
