Commissioning and leading the creation of investment projects of the city and ensuring their implementation. The Department is also responsible for monitoring the implementation of all contracts concluded, for which the Department or a separate department is the guarantor, and ensures the preparation of the Strategic Development Plan of the City.

Providing city building and environmental protection services. The department is responsible for, among other things, the assessment of administrative fees, the handling of complaints and petitions, the submission of statistical reports to the Czech Statistical Office for the area of construction, and the maintenance of the city's zoning district overview.

Providing administration in the field of education and culture. The department is responsible, among other things, for the promotion of the city and the cultural, sporting and social events held in the city, operates a tourist information centre, assists foundations and prepares all the agenda for grant activity on behalf of education and physical education.

The authority issues decisions on granting a concession and suspension of the trade. It maintains the trade register, collects administrative fees, ensures a comprehensive agenda arising from the Trade Business Act and provides verification of documents submitted by entrepreneurs.

Care for disabled citizens and social protection of children. We deal with minority issues. We keep records of the city's property in the field of health and social affairs.

Providing civil registration and vital records. The department is responsible for, among other things, the preparation for the award of honorary citizenship of the city and other public recognitions, the publication of documents on the official board. It maintains and updates the collection of deeds, keeps and updates the second copies of the registry books and the collection of deeds.

Management of the city's economy. The Department is responsible for, among other things, preparing the City's proposed budget, preparing the budget forecast, analyzing the City's financial performance, providing bookkeeping services, maintaining the Invoice Book, and other activities related to the City's management.

Management of the city's property and property relations. The department ensures the exercise of the independent competence of the city in the field of complete management, registration, maintenance, operation and ensuring the exercise of property rights.
