The first written report dates back to 1323. The Lobeč castle, the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross and the Eduard Štorch Museum are located here. A hiking and cycling trail passes through the village. We organize cultural, social and children's events.
Our village consists of 5 local parts: Nová Ves, Nové Ouholic, Staré Ouholic, Veprek and Miřejovice. There are 1034 inhabitants in the territory. In the village there is a kindergarten, a post office, a library, a grocery store and hospitality facilities. The municipality is run by the municipal office, which provides Czech POINT services.
