The municipal office provides all necessary information to citizens. We operate an electronic official board and e-office. The town lies at the beginning of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park.

The first written report dates back to 1467. The village is located at an altitude of 400 metres. The villages of Folge and Brložec are part of Dobrná. The dominant feature of the village is the Sokolí vrch lookout tower.
