The municipality operates its activities under the conditions set out in Act No. 128/2000 Coll., on Municipalities, as amended. The decisive principle of the municipality's functioning is the principle of self-government - the municipality manages its affairs completely independently within the scope of the above-mentioned Act and in accordance with its needs.

Our village consists of 5 local parts: Nová Ves, Nové Ouholic, Staré Ouholic, Veprek and Miřejovice. There are 1034 inhabitants in the territory. In the village there is a kindergarten, a post office, a library, a grocery store and hospitality facilities. The municipality is run by the municipal office, which provides Czech POINT services.

We care about the comprehensive development of the territory and the needs of its citizens. Our remit includes social welfare, transport and communications, education and training, culture and public order. We cooperate with municipalities in the exercise of our autonomous competences.
