The first written record dates from 1351. The village is situated at an altitude of 221 metres. In the village there is the first evangelical church with a tower built in Bohemia, already in 1855. The village has a kindergarten, a shop, a restaurant and all technical networks.

Our village consists of 5 local parts: Nová Ves, Nové Ouholic, Staré Ouholic, Veprek and Miřejovice. There are 1034 inhabitants in the territory. In the village there is a kindergarten, a post office, a library, a grocery store and hospitality facilities. The municipality is run by the municipal office, which provides Czech POINT services.
