Our foundation has been caring for children's school and after school activities for over 25 years. Thanks to our project "In Prague we teach children to play sports" over 9000 children a year play sports for free. We also organize an annual charity collection for the Motol Children's Oncology Hospital. Last but not least, we also help children from orphanages.

We provide promotion and presentation of contemporary Czech architecture and architecture of the Central European area. We focus on organizing exhibitions.

Organizing a writers' festival. Promotion of world literature, introduction of writers, poets and writers from abroad. Facilitating international creative arts activities. We place Czech literature in an international context and promote the name of the Czech Republic abroad.

We focus on supporting the development of the work of Jan Amos Komenský. We strive to support the development of education and to contribute to the preservation or restoration of monuments. We award the Human Rights Efforts Award to key works, significant projects, initiatives and personalities. We organize various meetings.

Presentation of Czech and international alternative art. Promotion of artistic and cultural activities, especially those that facilitate communication between artists and the public. We ensure the creation of a suitable creative environment for the work and meeting of young and non-established artists. Supporting the publication of publications.

The foundation was founded by Josef Hlávka in 1904. It supports education, science, culture and art of the Czech nation. Currently, it manages the foundation's assets, mainly in the form of real estate, especially Josef Hlávka's castle in Lužany near Přeštice and the foundation's houses in Prague.
