The archaeological research station at Pohansko near Břeclav is focused on research of the early medieval settlement of the area above the confluence of the Morava and Dyje rivers and the fortified Great Moravian agglomeration at Pohansko, especially on the knowledge of the early medieval social structure, economy and chronology.
