The village is located in the district of České Budějovice, South Bohemia Region. The picturesque village lies in the gently undulating landscape of Zbudovské Blat, about 5 km northeast of Netolice and 19 km northwest of České Budějovice. The first written mention of the village appears in the Rožmberk land registry from the end of the 14th century.

Operation of an association of persons engaged in research in theology and related fields. We work on the preparation of pan-European thematic congresses and on the publication of the international Bulletin ET. Our aim is to develop the specific integrity of Catholic theology.

Primary school with a capacity of 660 pupils. There is a canteen, after school club and the opportunity to attend art, sports or drama clubs. We organize talks, openings, theatre performances, lantern parades and others. We arrange rentals of the gym, playground, computer room and more.

The first written record dates back to 1383. The village is situated at an altitude of 528 metres.
