The philosophy of the school is comprehensive education with an emphasis on quality. We are interested in the development of key skills (e.g. financial and media education). In the afternoons, students choose from over 13 clubs and 12 after-school programs. Parents pick up their children who are learned, athletic and full of adventure.

Lending of books and magazines. Offer of internet access. We organize travel and other educational talks, exhibitions of paintings and photographs. We provide guided tours for foreign visitors, meetings of native people and theatre performances. We organize dances and balls.

We operate a kindergarten for 74 children with a canteen. We go for swimming training and theatre performances. We have a school garden.

We operate a physical education unity. We run a football team, A-team, B-team and youth.

The first written report dates back to 1251. The town is situated at an altitude of 463 metres. There are 1273 inhabitants in the territory. The municipal authority provides information to applicants and carries out tasks imposed by the municipal council or the municipal council. The village of Bernartice was declared the Village of the Year 2002 in the regional round of the South Bohemian Region.

Operation of the fire brigade.

Our volunteer fire department is dedicated to protecting and assisting in the event of fires. We offer modern firefighting equipment, including engine sprinklers and tankers. We also organise training for our members and actively participate in fire sports.
