The first written report dates back to 1350. The village is located at an altitude of 186 meters. The village includes a pond, the national natural monument Dunajovice Hills or protected plant species. There is a kindergarten.

We operate a folk library. We have from beltrie for adults and children, educational literature, magazines and more for loan. We also provide internet access.

We operate a parish of the Roman Catholic Church. We organize services, spiritual meetings, confessions. We believe in the sacraments of baptism, confirmation, reconciliation, altar, marriage, priesthood, anointing of the sick, burial and ordination.

State secondary school of wine providing three-year courses in flower arranging and selling and gardening with a focus on viticulture and winemaking. We organize for pupils exchange stays abroad, cultural, sports and social events.

We are a community of Christians. We are part of the Evangelical Church (Czech Brethren Evangelical Church - CCE) as its congregation, or local group. We meet for worship on Sundays at 9:30. More information about us can be found on our website.
