We operate a library offering library services and internet access for children, teens and adults.

The first written report dates back to 1046. The village is located at an altitude of 247 metres. The village has a chapel with a bell tower from the 18th century decorated with Slovak ornaments.

The State Vocational Secondary School provides education in four-year courses in hotel management, ecology and environment, arts and crafts woodworking and two-year extension courses in business and mechanisation of agriculture and forestry.
