We run a primary school for 60 pupils with a canteen and a day care centre. We offer the opportunity to attend art, folklore, drama and reading clubs or join the school dulcimer band.

The first written report dates back to 1397. The village is situated at an altitude of 235 metres. There are 842 inhabitants. Provision of Czech POINT services. The village lies on the edge of the White Carpathians mountain range in a valley formed by the Radějovka stream. The dominant feature of the village is the Neo-Romanesque church of St. Cyril and Methodius.

The State Vocational Secondary School provides education in four-year courses in hotel management, ecology and environment, arts and crafts woodworking and two-year extension courses in business and mechanisation of agriculture and forestry. We organize talks, excursions, trips and other events for pupils.
