Operation of the volunteer fire brigade. The fire brigade protects the lives, health and property of citizens from fires, floods and other emergencies, and provides technical assistance.
The first written report dates back to 1350. The village, with 619 inhabitants, is located at an altitude of 237 metres. A marked cycle route passes through the village. Horní Dunajovice Castle is located here. The ruins of the Žirotice fortress are nearby. There is also a primary school in the village.
Nursery school for 28 children with dining room. The kindergarten uses 2 classrooms which have play areas set up for the children to use for various activities and games. The second classroom is also used for afternoon rest. The kindergarten also has a large garden near the playground, which is equipped with new play elements.
Primary art school for 280 pupils. We provide arts education in music and dance. In the field of music, we teach wind and string instruments, flute, piano, organ, keyboard, violin, clarinet and saxophone. We participate in competitions, concerts and various performances.
Primary school for 60 pupils with a day care and dining room. The primary school is intended for pupils from 1st to 5th grade. The two-storey purpose-built school building dates from the early 20th century. The ground floor houses a kindergarten and a gymnasium. The primary school uses two mainstream classrooms and a computer room for teaching.
