Sbor dobrovolných hasičů Nýdek byl založen od roku 1891. Aktivně se podílí v požárním sportu, v kategoriích MH (kategorie mladší, starší žáci od roku 2009 běhají prestižní MSL MH, soutěže Plamen, atd.), dále v kategorii mužů a žen, které se účastní jak soutěží v blízkém okolí, tak i v zahraničí.

The village of Nýdek is located in the northeast of the Czech Republic, in the region of North Moravia and Silesia. The neighbouring villages on the Czech side are Vendryně, Bystřice, Hrádek and Návsí, on the Polish side Wisla and Ustroň.

The association exercises fishing law, ensures the breeding, protection and catching of fish, environmental protection, develops and popularizes the sport of fishing. We manage trout and non-trout fisheries Olše and Hluchová. We organise fishing competitions.

The Nýdek Primary School and Kindergarten provides education for children from pre-school age to 9th grade. Our school is located in a quiet environment surrounded by nature, which creates ideal conditions for education and leisure activities.

We operate a parish of the Roman Catholic Church. We organize services, spiritual meetings, confessions. We offer afternoon gatherings for children or religious instruction. We believe in the sacraments of baptism, confirmation, reconciliation, marriage, priesthood, anointing of the sick, burial and ordination.
