The first written record dates back to 1325. The village is located at an altitude of 470 metres. Provision of Czech POINT services. The village is located near the Bohemian Forest Nature Park. There is an elementary school, a kindergarten and a museum of Chod costumes.
Kindergarten for 50 children with dining room. The school has bedrooms, two changing rooms for children, a playroom and a gym. You will also find a garden which is equipped with tools. We arrange for children to meet together for morning games, afternoon activities and joint events.
We run a primary school with a day care and a dining room. Pupils are divided into three classes. We teach English language. We provide afternoon clubs such as religion, gymnastics, aerobics, floorball, exercise equipment or a children's ethnographic group. Pupils are taught according to the school's Pathways curriculum.
The activities of the Postřekov Ethnographic Ensemble are based on an almost ninety-year tradition, on the direct legacy of the ancestors. It tries to preserve and present this tradition in its original unchanged form.
