The first written report dates back to 1368. The village is situated at an altitude of 471 metres. There are 202 inhabitants. In the middle of the village square there is a newly repaired chapel of St. Mary Magdalene. The village has a volunteer fire brigade. There are bicycle paths in the surroundings.
