We provide research on vertebrates at population and community levels. We specialize in evolutionary ecology, biodiversity, applied ecology and medical zoology. We contribute to increasing the level of knowledge and education and to the application of scientific research results in practice.

The first written report dates back to 1104. The village is located at an altitude of 446 metres. In the village there is a primary school and the chapel of St. Wenceslas, a volunteer fire brigade, a hunting association and the Sokol sports union.
