Orlík is a castle converted into a chateau near the village of Orlík nad Vltavou in the district of Písek in the South Bohemia Region. It is located on a rock promontory above the Vltava River, whose valley is flooded by the water of the Orlické Dam. The castle grounds are protected as a cultural monument.

Visit one of the oldest aristocratic castles built by the Buzic family, allegedly by Oldřich Zajíc. In 1346 the castle was besieged. Extensive parts of the fortifications, a bergfrit and the remains of two palaces have been preserved. Below the castle, towards the stream, there is a stone sea.

The first mention of the castle dates back to 1348, according to archaeological findings, the building stood here as early as the late 13th or early 14th century. Tours of the castle. The history of Zvíkovo Castle has been linked to the royal family of the Přemyslids since the beginning. In summer, for example, theatre or swordplay performances take place here. The first step towards the foundation was probably taken by Přemysl Otakar I in 1226.
