The largest museum and exposition of minerals and precious stones in the Czech Republic for all fans of minerals and precious stones. There are already 6000 pieces of exhibited minerals and gemstones from Czech localities and from all over the world.

The exhibition focuses on the childhood of the Čapek siblings, who used to visit their grandparents at the mill. The local environment became an inspiration for them to write a number of fairy tales. In addition to the Čapek siblings, during the tour you will also meet other important personalities connected with Hronov.

We organize exhibitions on the history of Vrchlabí and the development of tourism in the Giant Mountains. The museum is located in four gable houses, which are among the oldest folk buildings in the Giant Mountains.

A modern exhibition of historical artefacts related to winter hiking, skiing, sledging and skating, conceived in an interactive form. The exhibits will be renewed on the basis of additions and loans, so as to surprise the visitor with new items over time.
