The museum was founded in 1891 at the instigation of the organisers of the Jubilee Exhibition. The individual branches of the National Museum of Agriculture are aimed at covering agriculture and its relevant fields in their scientific research, acquisition and presentation activities in a comprehensive manner.

The museum presents the life's work of the world-renowned filmmaker Karel Zeman and his film tricks that made Czech cinema famous in the 20th century. The museum is unique in its playful and interactive concept - offering you the opportunity to get involved. Photography and filming are recommended.

In our absinthe museum you will find a collection of not only absinthes, but also many related items and serving tools. The large collection of absinthe serving spoons is also worth noticing. Here you will find old postcards, cheques, photos and order forms used in the 19th century.
