The South Bohemian Museum in České Budějovice is one of the most important cultural institutions in South Bohemia. It was founded in 1877 as one of the oldest regional museums.

The museum was founded by local chronicler Josef Turinský in the 1960s. The exposition recalls old crafts as well as the history of the village from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. The Memorial houses a museum with an interactive exhibition dedicated to Jan Žižek, his life, work and historical significance. It is complemented by a new exhibition introducing the film Jan Žižka (Medieval) by director and producer Petr Jákl.
