The exhibition commemorates the life and work of Tomáš Vitek, who lived in Skalička for many years, but otherwise spent his life mainly building ships and travelling around the world.

There are about a thousand exhibits on display from both nearby and around the world. The main part consists of agates, jaspers and other semi-precious stones. There are also various minerals, rocks and fossils.

In the museum you can find the Memorial Hall of ThDr. Jaroslav Studený, the Museum of Agricultural Technology or How to Live, Farm and Live in the Countryside and the Memorial Hall of Prof. Lumír Pivovarský.

The exhibition depicts important events in the life and creative work of the brilliant composer. It highlights the periods of Bedřich Smetana's family's stay in Týn and Hranice, as well as his lasting mark on the region in the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.
