The original fortress of the Lords of Janovice with a beautiful English park with a pond. The neo-Gothic castle is known mainly thanks to Sidonia the Magnificent of Borutín, who gave it its present appearance and distinctive charm. Here you can get acquainted with the culture and personalities of the 19th century or take a peek into the secrets of Czech bell-making.

The former Franciscan monastery in Votice now serves as a museum and gallery. There are permanent exhibitions: the Life of the Franciscans, the Homeland Museum, the Collective Work in Votice, paintings by Vladislav Kaska and Carriages and Dolls. The monastery also hosts seasonal exhibitions, lectures, concerts and other events.

The Museum of Puppets on Long Threads will show you some of the puppets used by local puppeteers. For children there is a children's corner with a puppet theatre. Both young and old visitors will be entertained by the thematic creations.

The Kingdom of the Rose - the museum of the Vitkovec family points to a time when the Czech Kingdom was one of the strongest state formations in Europe and when a third of Europe tried to speak Czech. The exposition was created on the occasion of the 555th anniversary of brewing in Vysoké Chlumec, following the interruption of beer production so that the legacy of our ancestors who honoured this craft would not be lost.
