In the very heart of Hradec Králové, a new space has been created that will guide visitors through the story of the PETROF brand - from the oldest surviving piano from 1865 to current technological innovations. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to take a look into the world of pianos, history and PETROF itself.

The Museum of East Bohemia in Hradec Králové is a contributory organization established by the Hradec Králové Region. It has a regional competence, but in many activities it crosses the borders of the region. It is one of the ten largest museums in the Czech Republic. The museum manages about 3 million collection items.

We operate a listed site of original vernacular architecture. The environment is suitable for folk festivals, exhibitions, fairs and social events with accompanying folklore programme. We allow wedding receptions, family celebrations and corporate events.

We operate an interactive gallery that combines art and education, offering a program primarily for families with children. The permanent exhibition The Story of the Dragon 1958-2018 tells the story of the theatre's 60-year history. The second floor of the gallery is dedicated to temporary exhibitions and a playroom with theatre simulators.

In the authentic cellar rooms of the U Špuláků House, the old days come to life in a way that’s different from a traditional museum. In the museum you can see the cooper's workshop with finished products of various sizes and types, including historical documents, objects and tools. We will tell you what butter has to do with cooperage, how the volume of barrels and vats was calculated and what the different types of planes are.

Prehistoric Archaeopark is for the general public, families, school trips, tourists and those interested in archaeology. The aim is to introduce visitors to life in prehistoric times through so-called living archaeology.

The War of 1866 Museum is a department of the Museum of East Bohemia in Hradec Králové. It is located near places of fundamental importance for the development of Europe in the second half of the 19th century.
