In addition to a demonstration of the weaving craft on two hand looms, it is still possible to look into the secrets of the woodturning workshop equipped with a woodworking lathe and a set of tools from the late 19th century. A moving nativity scene by the Škrabálek brothers from the early 20th century is a testament to folk art.

The museum presents the development of skiing in Harrachov and the local ski club. There are skis more than a hundred years old and ski jumping equipment.

We operate a museum with a forestry and hunting exhibition. The forestry exposition introduces visitors to the entire forestry issue, from the harvesting of the forest stand to the approach of logs to the subsequent forest restoration or care. The hunting exposition focuses on hunting from history to the present.

We organize exhibitions on the history of Vrchlabí and the development of tourism in the Giant Mountains. The museum is located in four gable houses, which are among the oldest folk buildings in the Giant Mountains.

Touch the Giant Mountains and get to know them in one place. The timeless and interactive exhibition documents not only the story of the unique nature, but also its connection with the fate of people who live in the mountains.

Offering mineral specimens, tools and equipment used in mining, maps and photographs documenting work at the local deposit and a tour of the adit. The adit is 1000 metres long and the guided tour lasts about an hour, during which it is possible to see mining machines, a battery locomotive and mining carts.

We have expositions of technologically and historically complete collections of historical glass from the production of the Harrachov glassworks, mapping more than three hundred years of the history of glass production. The collection contains more than 5000 exhibits.

Operation of a museum. There is a history of mining throughout the Krkonoše Mountains, photographs and exhibits from the Berghaus site in Černý Důl, the smithy in Obří Důl, as well as from Krkonoše caves, gold and coal mines, quarries and adits.

The memorial was established in 1957 in the grounds of Bran Castle as a reminder of his stay in the Podkrkonoší region before he left for Lešno in Poland. The memorial is a frequent place of visits of teachers, Czech and foreign tourists.

Visit our historical and ethnographic permanent exhibition. The exhibition is ethnographic, about the life and history of Horní Branná and Valteřice, about life under the mountains.
