The Museum was founded in 1891 in connection with preparations for the Czechoslovak Ethnographic Exhibition in Prague. The director of the girls' schools, Jáchym Metelka, was responsible for its establishment.

We help people with disabilities find their place in the world of work and in everyday life. We provide social and vocational rehabilitation, educational activities and professional counselling.

We run a children's club with a capacity of 10 children. In the preschool program, children develop skills important for school, playfully relax their hands and perform graphomotor and other preparatory exercises. Emphasis is placed on the individual needs of the children.
