Regii Caroli regis branches

We deal with period dance demonstrations from French Gothic to Italian Renaissance. We organize teaching seminars of historical dances for the public. We perform at castles, town festivals and more. We organize our own cultural events.

The permanent exhibition of historic rooms on the piano nobile of the castle focuses on the era of the castle’s last owners, the Kinsky and Lichtenstein princely families. The first tour route features interiors furnished with pieces dating from the second half of the 18th century to the first third of the 20th century, complemented by a collection of 19th-century toys.

Visitors can stroll through the living quarters, furnished with inlaid furniture, prints, faience, and porcelain from the 18th century or the Biedermeier period, and let themselves be swept away by the atmosphere of Czech Romanticism and Historicism. The furniture on display evokes the era of the estate’s last owners, the Hartig family of counts.

The interactive exhibition of mechanical toys features steam engines, transportation and military toys, moving dancing figurines, optical devices, games, building sets, and collectible rarities. Popular attractions include demonstrations of historic trains running on a large electrified track and the ČSD children’s transportation office.
