The first written report dates back to 1270. We provide Czech POINT services. The village is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers cultural activities. The village has a kindergarten and primary school or a volunteer fire brigade.

We operate a municipal library. We offer the possibility of borrowing fiction for children, youth and adults, educational literature for youth and adults and magazines. Books are available to borrow from our own resources as well as from the book exchange fund. We offer internet access and A4 black and white printing. We organise talks and themed events.
