Muzeum středního Pootaví Strakonice branches

The Museum of the Central Pootaví Region in Strakonice is located on the grounds of Strakonice Castle. The museum manages a watermill complex located in the village of Hoslovice—17 km southwest of Strakonice. The Hoslovice Mill features exhibits titled “The Water Mill” and “Life in the Šumava Podlesí Region.”

Uniquely preserved upper water mill. In the mill building you can see the preserved functional grinding equipment, granary, timbered room, living room with oven and tiled stove. In the technical buildings there are various types of agricultural tools.

Information centre building, ticket and souvenir sales. Ethnographic exposition of the life of the Sumava Podlesie. Beverage vending machines, possibility of rest.
