Jihočeské muzeum v Českých Budějovicích branches

The South Bohemian Museum in České Budějovice is one of the most important cultural institutions in South Bohemia. It was founded in 1877 as one of the oldest regional museums.

The Memorial houses a museum with an interactive exhibition dedicated to Jan Žižek, his life, work and historical significance. It is complemented by a new exhibition introducing the film Jan Žižka (Medieval) by director and producer Petr Jákl.

Operation of a museum. There is a permanent exhibition of folk painted furniture from South Bohemia and an exhibition Fish and People, Rosenbergs and Pondkeepers in South Bohemia and Waldviertel.

The Visitor and Education Centre in Trocnov offers modern facilities, information services, exhibitions and educational programmes. It includes lecture and educational facilities that expand the possibilities of learning about history and increase the comfort of visitors to the site.
