The first written report dates back to 1366. The township is located at an altitude of 581 metres. There is an extensive system of ponds in the vicinity of the municipality, used for economic and recreational purposes. The village is dominated by its dominant feature - the Church of St. Lawrence, which is built in the Baroque style.
