The first written report dates back to 1351. The village is located at an altitude of 348 metres. The village has a library, a community centre, a primary and kindergarten, a volunteer fire brigade, a scout or football club, a rectory and a post office.

We operate a municipal library. We offer the possibility of borrowing fiction for children, youth and adults, educational literature for youth and adults and magazines. We provide free internet access and public information. Books can be borrowed from our own collection, as well as from the Šumperk Municipal Library.

We lend books for adults and children.
