The first written record dates back to 1353. The village is located at an elevation of 542 meters. The village is home to a volunteer fire department, a hunting club, a sports club, and a hunting association. You’ll also find a library here.

We operate a municipal library. We offer the opportunity to borrow children's, young adult and adult fiction, educational literature and magazines. We provide internet access, printing and photocopying of documents. Books can be borrowed from our own collection, as well as from the Jihlava City Library.
