The first written record dates back to 1277. The village is located at an altitude of 231 metres. There are 1006 inhabitants. There is a kindergarten and primary school, a library, a gym, an outdoor playground, a football team, a mothers' club and a volleyball team.

We operate a municipal library. We offer the possibility of borrowing fiction for children, youth and adults, educational literature for youth and adults and magazines. We provide free internet access and public information. Books are available for loan from our own collection, as well as from the collection of libraries in larger towns in the area.
