The first written record dates back to 1298. The village is situated at an altitude of 224 metres. There are 1408 inhabitants. Dambořice is located near the Ždánický les Nature Park. The dominant feature of the village is a Roman Catholic church with a cemetery or a prayer house of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren.
