The first written report dates back to 1320. The village is located at an altitude of 299 metres. We provide Czech POINT service. In the village there is a beautiful neo-Gothic church of the Holy Saviour. We organize various social and cultural events.

We operate a local library offering a permanent library collection as well as new fiction, magazines and children's literature. There is also public internet access.
