The first written report dates back to 1256. The village is located at an altitude of 353 metres. In the village there is a church of St. Nicholas, a park and a castle from the second half of the 17th century.
The museum was opened on 1 July 2014. There are photographs and objects relating to the pre-war and post-war history of the village, the local castle, the brewery, as well as the everyday life of the local inhabitants.
