The first written report dates back to 1308. The village is located at an altitude of 319 metres. In the village there are the ruins of Starý Cimburk Castle, the Church of St. James the Greater, a plague column and a statue of St. John of Nepomuk.

We run a community library. We lend educational literature, children's literature, poetry, fiction and magazines. We provide lending, bibliographic information and interlibrary loan services. We organize literary talks and events for the public.
