The first written report dates back to 1412. The village is located at an altitude of 468 metres. The village has a Baroque Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross from 1844, a statue of St. John of Nepomuk and a firefighting museum founded by the local firefighters in 1989. It provides CZECH POINT service.
