The village of Nýdek is located in the northeast of the Czech Republic, in the region of North Moravia and Silesia. The neighbouring villages on the Czech side are Vendryně, Bystřice, Hrádek and Návsí, on the Polish side Wisla and Ustroň.

We operate a municipal library. We lend fiction, educational literature, children's literature and magazines. We have an online catalogue of books. We provide lending, bibliographic information and interlibrary loan services. We organize events for children and the public.
