The village is situated on both banks of the Sázava River, 4 km east of Havlíčkův Brod and 8 km northwest of Přibyslav. It is divided into two parts - Pohled with the village of Rouštany and Simtany with the village of Svatá Anna. The village has 718 inhabitants. The village has a post office, a kindergarten and a library.
