The first written record dates from 1314. The village is situated at an altitude of 579 metres. There is a volunteer fire brigade in the village. We regularly organize sports, social and cultural events for the citizens, as well as for the general public. We publish a newsletter of the municipality.

We operate a municipal library. We offer the possibility of borrowing fiction for children, youth and adults, educational literature for youth and adults and magazines. We provide free internet access and public information. Books are available for loan from our own collection, as well as from the collection of libraries in larger towns in the area.
