The first written report dates back to 1347. The village is located at an altitude of 483 metres. The village has a community centre, library, fire station, chapel, cemetery, post office, supermarket, football field and kindergarten.

We operate a municipal library. We offer borrowing of children's, young adult and adult fiction, educational literature and magazines. Books are available for loan from our own collection, as well as from the library collection in Polná and Jihlava. All services are provided free of charge for readers.
