The first written report dates back to 1374. The village is located at an altitude of 540 metres. In the village there is a kindergarten and primary school, a library, a church and a bell tower. There is a volunteer fire brigade and a Sokol sports union.

We operate a municipal library. We offer the possibility of borrowing fiction for children, youth and adults, educational literature for youth and adults and magazines. We provide free internet access and public information. Books are available for loan from our own collection, as well as from the collection of libraries in larger towns in the area.
